“My Art Therapy journey began when I realised, as a professional artist, how the creative process eliminated repetitive thinking and brought a sense of calm. As I tapped into creativity within myself, unconscious memories would arise and through the artistic process I could integrate them. Making art became a meditation for life.”

Paints, clay, collage, pencils and other mediums provide opportunities to release and express deep emotions. Art can produce tangible representations of grief and emotion. Somatic and tactile experiences can be grounding and relaxing, allowing healing to begin.
The journey and joy of creativity includes the squish of paint between the fingers, moulding clay, blending of waxy crayons or washing of water colours across a pristine white page.
